Bible stories have meant different things to me at different phases of my life.

When I was a child, I remember being captivated by the big moments.
Noah’s Ark.
The birth of Jesus.
Moses parting the Red Sea.

They felt magical, epic, and larger than life.

I didn’t always understand every detail, but I loved the feeling of the stories. I loved imagining the animals on the ark. I loved picturing the water opening up into towering walls. I loved thinking about what it must have been like to be there.

Now, as a parent, those same stories hit differently.

I still love them.
But now I also feel a deep desire to pass that love on.

I want my kids to know these stories. I want them to feel connected to them. I want scripture to feel alive in our home. Not distant, not forced, and not overwhelming.

And honestly… I want it to feel enjoyable.

That’s what sparked the idea for this book.

I didn’t set out to create another traditional Bible activity book. There are already so many wonderful resources out there.

What I kept wishing for was something that felt more immersive.

Something that placed you inside the story and that invited curiosity, imagination, and conversation.

That’s how Pick Your Path: Bible Edition was born.

This book is meant to be a Bible companion.

You read a story. You step into a moment. Then you get to choose what you might do next.

Not in a way that changes scripture or contradicts doctrine. But in a way that helps kids imagine:

“What if I were there?”
“What would I notice?”
“How would I feel?”
“What choice would I make?”

One of my favorite parts of using this book with my family is simply listening.

Listening to my kids explain why they chose a certain path. Listening to their reasoning. Listening to the little insights that come out in the process.

Sometimes their answers surprise me. Sometimes they make me laugh. Sometimes they open the door to deeper conversations I never would have thought to start on my own.

And that, to me, feels really special.

It’s beautiful to watch your children picture themselves standing beside Noah.
Walking near Moses.
Sitting with Mary.
Following Jesus.

Not as distant figures in a faraway time, but as real people in real moments.

This book gives them permission to imagine that for themselves.

It gives them space to think, wonder, talk, and ask questions.

And it gives families a gentle way to learn more about each other along the way.

My hope is simple.
